The Historic American Buildings Survey, created by Works Progress Administration workers in 1933, includes architectural renderings and floor plans of historic homes, churches, businesses and public buildings in Westchester. Many plans include sketches of exterior and interior architectural details. Other structures documented in the collection include the Jacob Purdy House in White Plains, the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, and the Elephant Hotel in Somers.

Built in 1787, the Bedford Court House still stands. County Court sessions were held at both Bedford and White Plains until 1870, at which time all county proceedings were moved to White Plains. The Bedford Court House became a museum and home of the Bedford Historical Society. It is the oldest extant government building in Westchester County.
